**About the role**

As a Butchery Hygiene Operative, you will be part of a warm and friendly team working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the onsite Butchery Department is kept clean and hygienic and you will work to a very high standard. You will possess a can-do attitude, be an effective team player, have great attention to detail, and be able to work in an organised, methodical and professional manner.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Carry out daily cleaning tasks, operating safe use of chemicals
- Thorough cleaning of processing equipment including stripping of machines to meet required hygiene standards
- Monitoring of temperatures of products and fridges
- Send swabs for micro testing on a weekly basis
- Clean and mop all production areas
- Ensure our team member canteen, changing rooms, office areas and toilets are kept clean and tidy
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to
- Manage hygiene record keeping
- Good attention to detail and high standards of hygiene controls
- Able to work as part of a team within the Butchery Department
- Excellent time management skills
- Good record keeping
- Able to work to defined rules and regulations within the Butchery Department
