**Brief job description**:

- To learn and understand the management of SQL databases and other data sources
- To learn and understand data analysis techniques
- To learn and understand reporting tools and techniques
- To develop data driven reports based on client requirements
- To provide user support as directed by the Applications Director
- Quality assurance procedures
- To provide support to the Helpdesk as required

**Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of**:

- Become part of the Data team delivering Reporting / Data to all areas of the business.
- Develop understanding of various complex data models.
- Report extraction and summarisation
- Assist in reporting optimisation.
- Dealing with day-to-day data requests

**Qualifications**:

- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

**Desired Skills**
- General understanding of relational database concepts.
- General PC, Laptop and peripherals troubleshooting and support.
- LAN and WAN hardware connectivity troubleshooting and support.
- Experience of working in a structured support environment, delivering to SLAs and KPIs

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Data Technician, with training in how to:

- Identify the right data sources for your business to inform decision making.
- Collect, compile and cleanse data accurately and securely.
- Identify, anaylse and interpret data, trends and patterns.
- Produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
- Summarise and present the results of data analysis, making recommendations for business improvement.
- Store and archive data in line with data protection legislation.
