The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious
IT and AI Apprentice Technician
to join our Harrogate team. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical experience with formal training on the
Microsoft Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship
.

You'll play an active role in maintaining reliable, secure IT services across the charity while learning about cloud systems, cybersecurity, and the ethical use of AI. You'll help test and embed tools like
Microsoft Copilot
and
Power Automate
to improve digital inclusion, accessibility, and efficiency across our organisation.

Harrogate

Contract:
Fixed term, 18 months

Hours:
38 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary:
£12.21 per hour

What You'll Be Doing


• Providing first-line IT support and resolving user issues


• Installing, updating, and maintaining devices and systems


• Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and Intune administration


• Monitoring networks, backups, and security compliance


• Helping introduce AI and automation tools to improve day-to-day processes


• Maintaining IT documentation, assets, and records


• Supporting digital and IT projects across Henshaws, including events and training delivery


• Contributing to research on new technology and accessibility innovation

What You'll Learn

Through your apprenticeship, you'll gain:


• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, 365, and cloud systems


• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, data protection, and device management


• Practical exposure to AI and automation in real-world scenarios


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

About You

We're looking for someone who:


• Has GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade 4 or above


• Is eligible and ready to enrol on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship


• Has an interest in IT, cloud computing, or emerging technologies


• Enjoys problem-solving and supporting others


• Is aware of cybersecurity and data protection basics


• Has a flexible, can-do approach and good communication skills
