We are looking for a new staff member to join the Administration Team within our busy workforce at Litchdon Medical Centre.

The role will be for 18 hours per week over 3 days (including Mondays and Tuesdays).

This role will require flexibility to cover additional overtime during busy periods and staff leave.

Salary £10.00 - £11.25 per hour depending on experience.

Closing date 2/11/22 with interviews planned for the 14/11/22. If you have not heard by the 10/11/22 you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills, as well as being adaptable and able to manage a busy workload. Knowledge of working with computers is an essential part of the role, although training will be given on the medical systems used within the Practice. It is essential that you enjoy working as part of a team and are able to prioritise your workload.

**JOB TITLE: Clinical/MDT Administrator**

**REPORTS TO: Practice Manager/Practice Support Manager**

**HOURS: 18 hours per week**

**Job Summary**:
Clinical Administrator

To add incoming letters and electronic correspondence from clinical organisations onto the patient’s record, check actions needed and code diagnosis and procedures when needed. To liaise with clinicians and other departments within the practice to ensure information is accurate and all actions needed are carried out.

MDT Administrator

Assist in co-ordinating MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) Meetings and making sure information shared within those meetings is accurately recorded on patient’s records and other electronic documents. To work as part of the team who liaise with clinicians to ensure availability to attend scheduled meetings and keep them updated with any changes to procedure or information received.

**Job responsibilities**

Clinical Administration
- Scan clinical letters and electronic documents and link to the patient’s record.
- To review each document and ascertain any coding that is needed to add to the record.
- Forward to the GP when needed and liaise with them if they need to action any points raised.
- Forward to dispensary or pharmacy team when medication needs to be prescribed or updated.
- Review and action tasks sent to the Clinical Admin task box and forward tasks to other internal departments when further follow up action is needed.
- To support and help train new staff within the role.
- Help and assist in other administration jobs within the support office when requested to do so by the office support manager (including support to help meet targets).

MDT Administration
- To take part in regular MDT meetings with clinicians and other healthcare professional, to minute discussions, assist in the smooth running of the meetings and note any action points.
- Keep GPs fully informed of meeting dates and ensure their templates are amended to show attendance.
- Run searches to ensure patient’s records correspond correctly with their GSF status.
- Support other administrators with recording information on different systems (including OOH).
- Update and review patient lists on speadsheets.
