**THE ROLE**
We are looking for an assistant planner who will support sales and planning managers develop, execute and communicate financial plans and strategies to maximise sales and profits for each season/year, along with supporting overall objectives of the business. The goal of the planning function is to drive the business (revenue, EBIT) through strategic seasonal merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, management of OTB and insightful commercial analysis. This role will report directly to the head of wholesale planning.
**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Create fiscal year budget proposals supporting sales and planning managers within the given critical path
- Track accounts to budget plans to drive opportunities to exceed sell in budget
- Support planning manager by creating analysis for annual account support package including scenario modelling to identify profit risk
- Create and manage weekly and seasonal reporting of sell
- in, sell-out, margin and inventory to highlight trade opportunities
- Become key user of Nordstrom portal to create and share performance for key metrics (create weekly reporting on retailer POS data and share insights for the wider team)
- Support sales managers by creating and maintaining ATS and identify opportunities to reduce stock holding
- Replen - track product performance against forecasts to determine areas of opportunity and risks for sales, planning and merchandising
- Suport with hoc reporting for senior management
- Track in-season shipping in collaboration with logistics team to ensure cancellation deadlines are met
- Analyse historical performance and market trends to inform range plan requests
- Partner with account executives in preparation for market by creating account specific performance recaps and financial overviews to better assess key areas of opportunity and challenges
- Suport continuity ordering process by submitting product projections and replenishment forecast within set deadlines
- Manage execution of ‘exclusive’ programs with partners (chase and track orders to ensure timely fulfilment)
- Coordinate adherence to critical path to deliver seamless market experience and support rapid distribution expansion across multiple categories
**WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?**
- Strong planning and forecasting, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience of working within a fast paced environment
- 1-3 years in planning and wholesale sales
- Excellent analytical/retail maths skills and advanced excel skills required. Strong knowledge of wholesale systems beneficial (particularly BlueCherry or similar)
