The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub (GMRH) is a unique, all age, psychology-led service originally established as a partnership between all the NHS mental health provider trusts in Greater Manchester as part of the response to the Manchester Arena Attack on 22ndMay 2017.

Over the last 5 years the GMRH has built on the innovative approach to supporting all those impacted by the Arena attack and now delivers and supports a range of trauma responsive initiatives at system and organisational, as well as individual levels. This includes:

- a key role in psycho-social aspects of EPRR (Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response),
- a wellbeing service for health and social care staff, and their immediate family members, and
- Trusted Relationships - a joint Local Authority and NHS funded service which embeds specialist psychologists and psychotherapists into Complex Safeguarding Teams across the 10 boroughs in GM.

We also host the Programme Manager for the Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester programme and support the roll out of that programme. The GMRH is entering an exciting new phase of development including delivery of and support to a number of transformation programmes.

The post holder will, with the other part time Strategic Clinical Lead, be responsible for the clinical leadership in relation to Hub interventions provided across the lifespan and provide strategic leadership across Greater Manchester in relation to developing and supporting a range of care pathways for those who have experienced psychological trauma. The post holder will, jointly with the other part time Strategic Clinical Lead:

- Lead for NHS mental health services at Greater Manchester emergency and resilience planning fora and represent Greater Manchester at national and international levels as required;
- With support from Communications colleagues, respond to media enquiries about the Hub and in relation to psychological trauma more generally, including giving television, radio and print media interviews;
- Ensure that the innovative, client-centred, trauma-responsive culture of the Hub is maintained and enhanced, continuing to be at the forefront of developing care pathways for those affected by psychological trauma;
- Provide clinical leadership across Greater Manchester in the development of the Hub into a centre of excellence in relation to psychological trauma;
- Be responsible for ensuring the psycho-social aspects of major incidents are planned for effectively in Greater Manchester;
- Liaise nationally and internationally to learn from, and contribute to, best practice in relation to trauma-responsive interventions and post-incident psycho-social support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- With the other Strategic Clinical Lead and the Service Lead be responsible for developing, reviewing and constantly refining existing well-being screening programmes provided by the Hub. Lead on liaison with other screening programmes nationally and internationally to share learning, and on behalf of the GM Combined Authority and Integrated Care Board support the development of screening programmes following future major incidents on request.
- With the other Strategic Clinical Lead take overall clinical responsibility for the development and implementation of care pathways through the Hub, including the development of family focused interventions.
- With the other Strategic Clinical Lead take overall clinical responsibility for the advice, consultation, training and guidance to professionals across the UK involved in supporting those impacted by major/traumatic incidents which take place in GM.
- With the other Strategic Clinical Lead and the Service Lead ensure that therapists and other staff within the Hub have access to a psychologically based framework for understanding and supporting the treatment of clients via expert clinical consultation and supervision systems.
- With the other Strategic Clinical Lead and the Service Lead provide specialist support in the development of psychosocial interventions/pathways in the wake of major incidents at GM, national and international levels.
- To provide specialist psychological/ assessments of people, impacted by major incidents and other traumatic experiences the Hub is commissioned to respond to.
