**The Role - Quality Controller - FTC**

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a QC on a fixed term 15 month contract for our Fresh Produce client based in Pershore. As Quality Controller you will support the with all aspects of technical, quality, and operational activities. The primary role will relate to intake QC (inspection, assessment) and collation of customer orders. You will assist with ensuring that an efficient and effective quality control service is provided so that customer requirements are continually achieved and that product quality communication back to relevant departments is timely and accurate.

**The Person**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that arrivals of product are inspected and assessed according to customer requirements
- Support the commercial team by providing accurate QC information.
- To ensure all intake reports are completed accurately and filed correctly and communicated to the relevant commercial/quality teams and supplier in timely manner
- Assist the commercial teams in making sound decisions on matters relating to product quality, product allocation and any relevant technical requirements, ensuring they understand customer specification and product requirements
- Complete stock checks accurately and in timely manner with relevant feedback to commercial teams
- Printing and checking labels as per customer requirements
- Understand and be prepared to support the team with operational matters at the designated site
- Support and assist with a flexible approach with customer site visits or supplier visits and/or quality management issues as and when required
- Returns are investigated on return and the commercial team advised of actions required and of any issues with a financial or customer impact
- Provide a level of flexibility
- Assist and manage the QC sorter team as and when required
- Ensure working areas are clean and to an acceptable standard
