Drawing upon data insights, you’ll ensure our methods of communication and engagement are effective, as well as constantly searching for new initiatives and ideas to improve and deepen our connection.

**Key Responsibilities**
**What will the role involve?**
- Managing the Echo’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tiktok in accordance with Live network best practice and priorities
- Finding new ways to promote content off-platform and attract new readers
- Driving interest in newsletters through social media
- Driving best practice in audience engagement using data to inform decisions and initiatives
- Supporting the newsroom by working weekend audience shifts as part of a rota
- Assisting the wider audience team with newsletters, home page management and building our loyal and logged-in audience as required
- ** This role includes weekend working, this will typically involve 1 weekend in every 4**
**What are we looking for?**
- ** Ideally, you’ll have NCTJ-accredited qualifications including news writing and media law. However, other relevant qualifications or experience can be considered**:
- Content writing experience, preferably as a reporter
- Digital publishing skills
- Strong social media skills and experience and understanding of audience engagement
- Passion for digital storytelling in local journalism
- You’ll be comfortable working at pace and under deadline pressure
