With offices throughout Kent and Sussex, we offer a wide range of insurance services for commercial organisations, including specialised trades, and families, homes and valued possessions of private clients.

As part of our ongoing commitment to looking after our clients and team we're looking to recruit a Commercial Claims Handler, to be based out of our office in Brighton.

**Duties will include**:

- Process new insurance claim notifications.
- Provide advice on making a claim and the processes involved.
- Collect accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim.
- Ensure all claims details are recorded accurately and in accordance with procedural guides on the Acturis system.
- Collaborate with colleagues in both broking and new business teams to ensure the provision of good quality claims data.
- Proactively deal with all claims, and promptly alert your line manager to any complaints, conflicts of interests, and Errors & Omissions in the line with Group Policy and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements including adherence to FSA Guidelines & the business units training & competence plan.
- Monitor the progress of a claim and update the parties involved.
- Liaise with solicitors, as well as other legal and claims professionals, and negotiate the terms of a claim.
- Get advice from external specialists, such as loss adjusters and forensic accountants, on complex cases.
- Ensure fair settlement of a valid claim.
- Ensure the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
- Manage all administration aspects of the claim, ensuring that case notes, logs and diaries for each customer are completed on time and accurately.

**About you**:

- You’ll have experience within a Claims Handling role covering a range of Commercial policy claims
- Ideally, you’ll be Cert CII Qualified and be looking to progress within a client focused organisation
- Previous experience with Acturis is highly beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
