Mission Statement
Supervise a shift’s team progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment and assembly lines within a production area. Cooperate with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environmentand reinforce production schedules, efficiency and quality
Staff
Disciplinary line manager for the staff in the area. Lead and guide the team in line with HR policies.
Control and improve work discipline, efficiency, 5S and ensure that work processes are executed according to defined methods.
Helps management implement staff movement in case of vacations, illnesses, machines outages of shifting priorities.
Holiday and overtime management of the team according to agreed guidelines.
Training and coaching of operators to ensure compliance with quality standards work and method.
Ensure that staff comply with daily attendance booking at start/end of the shift.
Ensure the daily booking of production order progress in SAP. Is responsible to adjust the headcount regarding the load in the area of responsibility.
Is responsible that the area is sufficient staffed with trained people to reach the needed flexibility
Cooperation
Serves as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
Attend the Tier2 meeting and daily communicate and brief the team
Metrics
Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency, timely delivery and quality compliance of the products.
Control and ensure products are assembled, produced according to latest drawing and quality requirements, tools & fixtures are well maintained, testing devices are calibrated. Daily report quality KPIs for all control points of the area.
Monthly control cost center KPIs in the area of responsibility against budget targets. Report deficiency to line manager
Quality
Is responsible to record the result of all quality control points in the production processes and timely reports deviation to the quality department and line manager;
Is responsible to implement all quality improvement actions.
Brief the team on all CCRP related to the area of responsibility, support the analysis of the root causes and implement the agreed corrective actions.
Efficiency
Ensure the daily booking of production order progress in SAP to facilitate the monitoring and control of the efficiency of the team.
Daily control the efficiency and focus on target achievement (routing times and planned production volume)
Propose and implement corrective actions if routing times and efficiency targets are not met.
