About The Role
**_PHS Direct National Key Account Manager._**:
- We have an exciting opportunity for National Key Account Manager - PHS Direct. _
- **The main purpose of the role**:_- _The primary focus will be to manage, develop and organically grow a portfolio of Key Accounts. _
- _An understanding of the account’s individual needs, building a strategic plan to work in partnership with all stakeholders, driving growth, retention and the profitability of the business through the creation of long-term solutions and strong clientrelationships. _
- _To have an extensive experience of the hygiene and janitorial market sectors, being both commercially and legislatively aware with the ability to adapt to the ever-increasing requirements of the market._
- **Key Tasks**:_- _Achievement of annual new business turnover and margin target from the strategic creation of a pipeline within the existing account base._
- _Build and maintain a strategic plan for each account detailing planned activity to encourage growth through product promotions or campaigns, client mapping to build relationships and stakeholder base. _
- _Build value added solutions for clients which embrace both sustainable and social impact focus as well as minimising product lines to promote both more commercially viable solutions._
- _Work with the team to ensure that the Customer experiences the best and most appropriate level of support and service and that ultimately to the Customer reflects a single joined up team approach. _
- _Support Tender activity to produce final bids to the customers including presentations. Work with the Hygiene team to develop and support any opportunities within the hygiene accounts that typically have not had exposure to our consumable services. _
- _Generate timely management reports as required that will include pipelines, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plans to support. _
- _Work proactively with your portfolio, with a planned schedule of visits, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring that you get the most from your visits and calls._
- **Knowledge and Experience**:_- _A proven service or sales professional operating at the minimum of key and high value account level. _
- _A growth track record in a B2B sales/service environment (service and consumables), with a strong level of commercial acumen, gained from a senior account management or large/key sales background. _
- _Strong knowledge of PHS’s Marketplaces and competitors, experience or similar markets. _
- _Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication both F2F and written, with the interpersonal skills to influence other parts of the business._
- _IT literate, with an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive._
- _Good strategic planning and day to day organising skills, high in initiative and problem-solving skills. _
- _High levels of energy, commitment, and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales/service process and large account processes and buying behaviours._
- _Ability to work on your own, planning diary and working autonomously within your defined role._
- **KPI’s and Performance**:_- _Growth of portfolio measured against a defined value. _
- _Planned call rates as agreed._
- **Additional**:_- _Full clean driving licence required. _
- _The role will require daily/regular travelling within the UK and occasional overnight stays. _
- _An Advanced DBS (CRB) will be checked on offer of employment due to areas visited._
