Overview and Responsibilities: **Behaviour and Inclusion Lead - Severnside and Hedgeway Schools** **Location**: Berkeley and Pilning - South Gloucestershire **Salary**: £25,480.00 - £27,872.00 FTE **Hours**: 40 hours per week - 52 week contract (Ideally Full Year but some flexibility on working weeks will be considered) The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. We are currently looking for a **Behaviour and Inclusion Lead **to join our team, working between Severnside School, an academic and therapeutic provision for students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, and Hedgeway School, a dynamic and inspiring provision for children and young people aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs. **The main purpose of the role**: As our **Behaviour and Inclusion Lead**, you will take a central role in promoting the positive behaviour of our students on a day to day basis, and supporting reintegration into full time education for those students who, for a range of reasons, have previously been unable to attend school on a regular basis. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams on both sites you will be instrumental in analysing behaviours, suggesting approaches to reduce unwanted behaviours, monitoring and recording outcomes and providing reports and data. As the designated Price Instructor, you will lead positive behaviour training, supporting and mentoring colleagues to develop their skills and techniques. You will examine recorded behaviours for lessons learned and best practice, and ensuring behaviour management procedures are followed. As Inclusion Lead you will identify students at risk of poor attendance. Working with pastoral colleagues you will devise suitable strategies to increase attendance and ensure students have programmes of study and pastoral and welfare support until they can attend fully. This post will be an interesting and multi-faceted role within our shared values and ethos and will be key to students making progress. **Key duties**: - Hold role of Price Instructor, including training and development of the wider staff team. - Oversee all aspects of behaviour approaches, and incident reporting procedures. - Oversee inclusion for those students not attending school regularly in conjunction with the Pastoral Lead. - Provide ad hoc behaviour support, conflict resolution, de-briefs & mediation to students. - Signpost students to the on-site clinical team when required. - Work in close liaison with the wider team. - Contribute to and at times lead the HPG meetings and follow up on actions from these - Oversee the anti-bullying process for the school in conjunction with the Pastoral Lead. - Provide second stage parental contact Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.
