**Salary**: £50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum

**Business Analyst Duties**:
To review, analyse and design business solutions and processes that improve the effectiveness of the organisation, deliver the required functionality, and meet the business objectives.
- Systems and process analysis and review - fully investigating existing systems or processes, normally triggered by a Change Request or business issue raised. Then confirming all appropriate changes, documenting and recommending on priority, along with theissues and risks associated.
- Identify 'root cause' business issues and associated change requirements and/or challenge stated requirements, where appropriate.
- Influence customers' expectations/view of their requirements by outlining issues, constraints and opportunities.
- Contribute to, or lead, the evaluation of alternative solutions to business problems, including the assessment of technology, and developing a full understanding of the impacts of each alternative in terms of finance, systems, process, and roles.
- Work together with business owners in the production of their Project Proposals and Business case.
- Requirement gathering, challenging to ensure that all key user and business requirements are suitably defined and recorded, and prioritised.
- Collaborating with the business, technical teams and IT systems teams to broker solutions that provide best fit to the requirements, overall budget and timescales.
- Working with the business to capture existing process flows, changes to process necessary to meet business requirement, and identify the impacts of this change.
- Configuration of third party systems to meet business requirements, and any impacts from changes are fully understood before being implemented.
- To check that solutions being developed and process changes being implemented meet the business requirement. Support to the business in their testing of the project.

**Business Analyst Requirements**:

- Industry knowledge of Financial Services.
- Recognised qualification in Business Analysis, or significant experience in an IT Business Analyst role.
- A successful track record in business analysis, process mapping, requirement capture, producing specifications for new and changed processes, and these solutions providing good business value.
- Previous experience of systems analysis, systems development and structured system testing.
- Proven core analysis skills, including interviewing, root cause analysis, business process analysis, business research, data gathering, and data analysis
- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, who is able to connect with all stakeholders from senior management through to junior staff.
- Able to organise and run requirement workshops with the business.
- Good MS Office skills, in particular using Word, Excel and Visio to create clear documents that are relevant, accurate and complete.
- A track record in providing detailed business specifications, along with analysis support on IT projects which have been successfully delivered.
- Hands on experience of analysis and design techniques, including some knowledge of UML (Unified Modelling Language).
- A good understanding of the technical environment, SQL Server, 3-tier architecture, cloud architecture.
