**Job description**

We are an oriental food business with both wholesale and retail operations in Gloucester and Bristol. We are looking for an experienced Xero Bookkeeper on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of financial records.

Your role will be varied and split between bookkeeping assignments, sales and purchase ledger processing, processing invoices, making payments, bank reconciliations and other balance sheet item reconciliations, VAT return preparation, etc.

Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and qualifications.

**Responsibilities for this role include**:

- Supplier invoice posting
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations and reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Inter-company ledger reconciliations
- Assisting in the initial preparation of VAT returns & management accounts
- General financial administration
- Development of processes and procedures
- The desire to always produce work of the highest quality on a timely basis
- Good knowledge of VAT
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- **Competent knowledge of Xero is required**
