An online furniture retailer is looking for a temporary stock control administrator to start asap. This role will be hybrid working Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm. You must be very numerate, understand figures, have strong Excel and excellent attention to detail.

**Duties**:

- Review the physical inventory journal daily, ensuring any positive or negative adjustments are actioned as required so that our stock levels are correct
- Liaise with customer service team regarding queries related to stock availability and advise team where necessary of any stock amendments that will affect customer orders
- Maintain effective communication lines with the Head of Shipping & Deliveries, Buying, Merchandising and Quality Control & Warehouse teams
- Reconcile weekly stock adjustment reports from our warehouse against requests sent to ensure that all changes have been correctly recorded and any anomalies are investigated and reported on
- Analyse the weekly adjustment reports to have visibility of what adjustments are being made
- Liaise with the warehouse regarding stock counts and adjustments to stock
- Management of the stock lockdown process, liaising with our QC department
- To be the point of contact for all warehouse stock related queries including stock adjustments, over receipts and write offs
- Record and claim for any stock losses at delivery hubs
- Deal with ad hoc stock queries as and when required

**Skills & experience**
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Experience of using Excel to an intermediate / advanced level
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication, written and listening skills
- Previous experience within an analytical role
- Ability to use initiative to problem solve and work under own steam
- Previous experience of working to tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience of working with numbers - a numerical approach
- A great team player with the ability to promote and help build a positive work environment
- The ability to work independently and show initiative
- The ability to take responsibility and be accountable for your actions
- Confidence and common sense
