**The role**

We are currently looking for a HSSE Manager for a brand new role within our European Regional Head Office. Health and Safety is paramount to everything we do, with all of our day to day work in our ports and terminals making sure our people are working in safe environments is the utmost importance to us. Our regional HSSE team work with each of business units to make sure that they adhere and fix any HSSE issues that may be apparent. The team also work with the local staff making sure that any new updates or procedures from Dubai are implemented.

This is a brand new role as there is an increase in workload in the team and extra support is required. You will be based close to one of our ports and travel extensively across the region to meet with the teams and get a fist hand understanding of the HSSE landscape locally. You will reporting to our regional HSSE Director who will work with you to develop and implement specific plans for each location.

You will also work with the rest of the team to drive decarbonisation initiatives across the region and help the business meet some of its sustainability goals. You will also mentor the local HSSE Managers as well as working with the business development teams to help them on HSE requirements during the acquisition of new ports and terminals.

**The person**

So what are we looking for?
- Previous HSSE experience from ideally within supply chain, logistics or heavy manufacturing
- A deep understanding of European HSE legislation
- The ability to influence and lead conversations around HSSE with geographically diverse stakeholders
- Experience of decarbonisation would be useful
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to talk to people at all levels
- A minimum of a NEBOSH qualification
- Fantastic verbal and written communications skills
