**About the Role**

As a Residential Support Worker at Bedspace, you’ll provide support to young people living as part of our Group Living services, you will work as a team of 3 support staff providing consistent support to 3-4 young care experienced individuals. The young people will all be 16-18-year-olds on their journey to independence. Each day will be different, but the end goal will always be the same, to ensure our young people are ready to move into their own flat have the skills and emotional resilience to live independently and become a part of their local community.

Using our ASDAN modules to help guide our young people through Finance and budgeting, tenancy support, personal development, health and wellbeing, healthy eating, relationships and culture. Your role will involve helping them develop essential life skills, independence, and guiding them through their day-to-day challenges.

**You will be located in the Congleton area, Cheshire region. A Driving Licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use is required. You will work approximately 10 shifts per month. The Annual Salary of £32,745.60 is inclusive of sleep rate.**

**About You**

You are empathetic, patient, and resilient, with a passion for supporting young people. You have experience working with individuals who have complex emotional and social needs, including those affected by trauma, mental health issues, and challenging behaviours.

Your communication skills are strong, and you’re comfortable working both independently and within a team. Flexibility and a sense of humour are key, as you’ll need to adapt to changing situations while maintaining a positive and proactive approach.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored, support to the young people, helping them develop life skills.
- Assist with educational, health, and welfare needs, ensuring access to necessary resources.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of service users’ progress.
- Help young people manage their daily tasks and appointments.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment through regular communication and monitoring.

**Requirements**:

- Good interpersonal skills
- Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
- Experience working with young people who have complex needs in a social care setting.
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
- Computer literate and the ability to manage administrative tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- A full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS check.
