Fixed Term 12 months, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Join our service desk here at Home Group as our brand new IS Logistics Partner. You’ll play a key part in making sure our colleagues have the right equipment to do their jobs, making sure they get off to a brilliant start.

You will be involved in the critical points of a devices’ lifecycle (mainly mobiles, tablets and laptops), from beginning to end. You’ll receive equipment from our suppliers, prepare it for use and then arrange onward delivery to our colleagues, as well as taking control when it comes to getting kit back and disposed of.

**About you**

You’re comfortable working as part of a small team and in using your initiative to get the job done. Ideally you have some experience of controlling stock, including receipting, distribution, delivery, repair and disposals.

We also need you to understand Microsoft desktop operating systems and have an interest in technology and how its used in a business environment.

**Where and when you’ll do your job**

You’ll join a small but perfectly formed team who are part of the wider Service Desk team here at Home Group. We anticipate that this will be a Monday to Friday job working mostly office hours, but it is possible that we may need to work outside of those times.

You’ll be one of 2 colleagues based in a small logistics office, separate to our head office building. We'll share the detail of the location, but it's likely to be in central Newcastle upon Tyne, as soon as we sign the lease

This is not a hybrid role and we don't anticipate any home working opportunities, as you'll spend most of your time on site. You’ll spend most of your time working in the new logistics office but will occasionally travel to different Home Group sites or offices around the country, to collect or deliver equipment.

We use a works van to visit our offices, so this means that you need to have a valid Driving Licence so that we can add you to the company car insurance.

**About our team**

The logistics team will join a wider team who are passionate about supporting our colleagues through technology. Our Manager Neil is still fairly new to Home Group so knows what it’s like to join the team. Outside of work Neil has recently moved back to the North East after 15 years in Yorkshire and is enjoying being a tourist in the area again
