**Purpose of the Role**

To lead financial management within the business, driving the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and management information ensuring reporting deadlines are met and effective financial controls are in place. The role will include providingfinancial information to inform business strategy, assisting with planning and commercial decision making by providing appropriate financial information, and undertaking accounts administration. This role is a member of the Senior Management Team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the day to day finance operations and financial related interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain appropriate financial control and accounting arrangements for all activity that complies with the Financial and Water Retail Market Regulations, assuring the board of directors.
- Produce and analyse monthly management accounts, balance sheet, budget and cash flow forecasts, and other reports and KPIs as appropriate, to provide decision-makers at operational and strategic levels with accurate, timely, and useful financial informationto deadlines.
- Ensure effective monitoring of financial performance against budgets. Support and provide a challenge to budget managers with the delivery of their business plans, obtaining explanations for variances and management action plans to address.
- Contribute actively to the development of appropriate costing and pricing models that can be applied consistently and effectively in all areas to deliver sustainable growth plans
- Identify and recommend the system and process improvements to ensure finance operations are efficient, resilient, robust and responsive to commercial growth enabling effective and meaningful reporting.

**Technical Skills and Qualifications**
- A recognised finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Advanced level of office IT skills particularly MS Excel spreadsheets, formulae and financial calculations
- Power BI experience advantageous

**Salary and Benefits**
- Salary £35k - £40k, dependant on experience
- 25 days’ holiday, plus public holidays
