Accounts/Finance Assistant

Location: Cardiff (relocating to Newport in early 2025)

Our dynamic and growing events company is looking for an Accounts/Finance Assistant to join our small but highly skilled finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on the finances of multiple event brands and projects, providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced and exciting industry.

We are looking for a motivated all-rounder who thrives on variety, enjoys making a tangible impact, and is eager to take ownership of their work in collaboration with our Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:

- Provide accounts and administrative support to the Finance Manager.
- Assist with invoicing and ensure the accuracy of the sales ledger.
- Reconcile all income channels, ensuring accurate revenue tracking across multiple event streams.
- Support the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices and payments.
- Assist with payroll tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Contribute to financial analysis and reporting for event revenue tracking.
- Available to work at our larger scale events.
Qualifications
- Experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a fast-moving or project-based industry.
