Cable Operative

Comex 2000 is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Cable Operative to join our Community Fibre - Build team in London.

We are looking for a Cable Operative to build and maintain new and existing Core Telecommunications Access Networks, specifically Fibre cable pulling, jointing, and testing. The role involves heavy cable pulling, either with assist equipment or by-hand, jointing at internal & external locations, and identifying cables/parts of cables to be worked on in various locations and environments.

You also must hold a Full UK Driving License (held for at least 12 months and a maximum of 6 points)

**_What will you be doing?_**

As a Cable Operative, your core responsibilities will be
- Fibre cabling pulling, jointing and testing
- Use of telecoms installation & test equipment
- Work safely according to National Roads and Street works Act, including Signing, Lighting and Guarding, Safe Working Practices, Personal Safety and Gas Testing
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety standards, including carrying out daily checks to ensure safe to use
- Complete and update internal and external databases to record actions and daily whereabouts
- Self-audit work to ensure it meets all company and client standards
- Deliver high-quality, professional service
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
- Work in all weather conditions
