**_ Position Summary:_**:
**To ensure MWI Animal Health U.K. (the Group) complies with statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements in relation to governance and quality of Health & Safety (H&S), including COSHH.**:
**To lead the business through change, and develop a forward thinking, quality driven health and safety culture throughout the Group (not reactive).**:
**To **provide the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with monthly dashboard reports highlighting key risks and mitigations.**:
**To provide support to Distribution centers, undertaking tasks and responsibilities as required.**:
**_ Primary Duties and Responsibilities: _**:
- **Ensuring a compliant H&S framework is present at all UK Group sites, working towards the standard of ISO 45001.**:
- ** Provide leadership and expertise to operational teams across the Group on all H&S matters, acting as the main point of contact.**:
- ** Maintenance of an H&S risk register identifying risk and opportunities, developing incident response plans where relevant.**:
- ** Reporting H&S performance to the H&S Manager, highlighting trends and advising of any key risks and mitigations, including future changes to legislation.**:
- ** Assist the H&S Manager in development of and regularly review the Group Health and Safety policies and procedures, creating strategic proposals and plans, gaining commitment from Managers to develop this across the Group.**:
- ** Assignment and personal development of key persons responsible for H&S at each site across the Group, supporting with regular site visits.**:
- ** Lead, Representatives of Employee Safety group/s, first aiders and fire wardens to support the H&S strategy.**:
- ** Supervise, direct and develop Team members in the field of Health and Safety; to include but not limited to IOSH Managing and Working Safely, Manual Handling, fire safety and other Health and Safety training courses.**:
- ** Ensure all sites have a H&S training matrix highlighting all training required per role.**:
- ** Implementation of an effective audit program to prove the effectiveness of the Group H&S provisions, and areas for improvement.**:
- ** Respond, control and/or advise on major incidents related to Health and Safety across the Group where reasonably practicable.**:
- ** Support and advise Human Resources with the management of Occupational Health across all sites and departments. Provide support with Risk Assessments and graduated return to works based on Occupational Health’s recommendations.**:
- ** Introduction and collaborative monitoring (with HR) of the Drugs and Alcohol Policy across the Group.**:
- ** To support the compliance team in maintaining compliance within the MWI Group**:
- ** Understand and comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards at all times.**:
- ** Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.**:

- **Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate**:

- ** Minimum of 2 years in a related Health and Safety coordinator/advisor Role***:
**Desirable**:
- ** NEBOSH Fire and Risk Management Certificate (or equivalent)**:
- ** NEBOSH Environmental Certificate (or equivalent)**:
- ** Lead or internal auditor 2018 : ISO 45001**:
- ** Manual Handling Train the Trainer**:
- ** NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma or working towards**:
- ** Graduate member of IOSH or working towards**:
