Don Construction Products (DCP) has accumulated over 90 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and marketing innovative construction materials. DCP has operations in North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia with 15 manufacturing locations and a distribution network to over 35 countries.
We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team in Haverhill, Suffolk.
**Role Overview**:
This role is required to support the Financial Controller and wider business to ensure smooth running of the Finance function.
**About You**:
We are looking for somebody friendly and proactive, with a willingness to learn and develop their skills in finance. This role would suit somebody who is currently studying their AAT and is keen to progress.
**Skills Required**:
- Excellent organisation skills
- Basic understand of accounting principles
- A keen eye for detail and drive to do things well
- AAT studier preferred
- Microsoft Office skills
- Previous experience of working in an office preferable
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts daily, ensuring any queries are closed and dealt with in an efficient manner
- Maintain accurate coding to the general ledger for all costs -Ownership of the purchase ledger function - ensuring invoices and payments are entered in to SAP accurately and efficiently, reconciling vendor statements and dealing with queries
- Management of the sales ledger function including the credit control process - ensuring fast collection of outstanding monies and ensure incoming payments are accurately posted in SAP. Monitor overdue client accounts closely to ensure any breaches can be escalated where necessary
- Review open goods receipts - request any missing invoices and raise queries where needed
- Process credit cards - ensure accurate postings of all receipts in accounting system and complete monthly reconciliations
- Petty cash management
- Check and process employee expenses
- Balance sheet recs
- Cover internal sales processes as necessary - entering sales orders, dealing with queries, arranging deliveries where necessary, following the process through fully to ensure client satisfaction
- Assist with month-end/ year-end duties as required
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller
