The role - Accounts Assistant
Location - Stirling
Hours - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm
Salary - £23-27K (depending on previous experience)

Our client is well established within the Construction industry and are seeking a talented Accounts Assistant to join a busy team based on the outskirts of Stirling City Centre.
**What will be required of you**:

- Daily bank reconciliations
- Maintaining efficient & accurate nominal ledger
- Recording bank drawn transactions accurately accounting for VAT in the accounting ledgers
- Processing credit card, staff and petty cash expenses
- High volume sales invoice processing
- Assistance with VAT returns
- Producing schedules, reconciliations and back up to support profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
- Assisting Financial Accountants in preparing accounts
- Processing cost transactions and analysis of costs from contract costing system
- Assisting with preparation and reconciliations from job costing system in Excel for monthly reports
**Skills required**:

- Proficiency using SAGE or another finance software
- Knowledgeable in Construction Industry Scheme rules (desirable)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Process driven

Initially this role will be fully office based but after the probationary period there may be the option for the role to be based from home 2 days per week.
