Medserv was established by Cormac Loughrey in 2005 and has rapidly grown to become the largest company specialising in medical billing in the UK & Ireland. Medserv UK was established in 2010 and initially was run from the Irish Office. In 2014 the first UK based office was opened. Due to massive growth in the first 3 years we moved to a larger UK office in 2017 where we are now based in Haywards Heath.
**What’s the opportunity**
We are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join our Credit Control Team. Our ideal applicant is a self-starter, who is eager to learn and can work off their own initiative. Good communication skills are also a bonus - we here at Medserv are firm believers in open communication being a key to success This is an entry level position.
**What will I be doing**
With our core values of Quality, Innovation, Integrity & Excellence in mind, the employee will be responsible for primary duties & responsibilities which include:
- Ensure that invoices issued to self-paying patients are paid in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity and prepare reports on same when requested
- Manage queries from both client and patient in a prompt, efficient manner ensuring all queries are dealt with to completion
- Regularly make contact with patients to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary and encourage consistent communication with our team
- Handle disputed bills and negotiate to collect payment within the agreed terms
- Meet cash & debtor day targets set by management
**What skills do I need**:
- A confident, supportive phone manner with meticulous verbal and written English
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong team player with the confidence to work on your own initiative
- The ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Possess excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise time effectively
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with management and all colleagues
- Be willing to take on additional duties to support the on-going growth and development of both the team and organisation The above list is an outline of the daily duties involved however these may change in line with both team and company requirements
