As a Cook at Normanton Lodge Care Home, you must be a passionate and caring person who is able to deliver high quality person-centred dining experience, promote dignity and independence for all our residents. You must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare the high quality daily meals for residents in accordance with the Food Hygiene Standards and Company's policies and procedures.

Communication of information to senior members of staff relevant to ordering stock and menu planning.

Identifying residents with special diet requests and implementing it.

Implementing rota of cleaning to all areas of the kitchen.

Recording temperatures and complying with all necessary risk assessments.

Ensuring the kitchen is secure and not entered by unauthorised personnel.

Ensuring that sufficient protective clothing and hats provided to authorised personnel in the kitchen.

Ensure snacks and drinks are available for residents in between meal times

Attend resident reviews if required.

Maintain quality assurance systems within the kitchen.

Attend regular staff meetings

This is not an exhaustive list of tasks, and there are other duties that form a part of the complete job specification.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Overtime

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear a mask when in the building, daily lateral flow tests before starting work.
