**Role: Activities Co-ordinator 28 hours per week**

**Salary: £12.00 per hour**

As an Activities Co-ordinator at Blackwell Care Home, you must be a passionate and caring person who is able to deliver high quality person-centred care, promote dignity and independence for all our residents. You must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- To plan and co-ordinate activities and outings for the residents - both individual and group events.
- To assess each individual resident to determine their interests, abilities and areas of development.
- To arrange a programme of activities to enable each resident to maintain and achieve an independent a life as possible.
- To maintain the appropriate records as necessary.
- To motivate the residents in all areas of activity.
- To assist in the planning and running of fund raising and social activities.
- To comply with the homes policies and procedures at all times
- To report to the appropriate member of staff and significant changes in the health and wellbeing of a resident
- To encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
