We will continue to build upon these successes and expand into new markets and industries, producing innovativeand competitive products and technologies that advance the goal of a zero-carbon emission future. Envision AESC have joined forces with Nissan and Sunderland City Council as part of the "Nissan EV36Zero’ project that’ll see not only a new, fully electric car pumped out of the Wearside factory, but a whole new battery gigafactory and solar farms to helpit run cleanly. To support these ambitious investment plans to build gigafactories in the UK and France, Envision AESC are looking for an experienced and innovative Indirect/Direct Materials Buyer to join the UK Purchasing function. **The Opportunity** Reporting into Senior Management, the Indirect Buyer will manage a varied category portfolio of spend for the Gigafactory 1 (including CAPEX, Service, Energy, Maintenance, Utilities etc.) and will also support and manage some Direct materials' procurement forthe UK. Key responsibilities: - Developing and implementing category strategy with a focus upon continuous improvement, added value and cost optimisation - Market research, leading full tenders and conducting analysis, resourcing/retendering, supplier selection, contract negotiation and award - Supplier performance management and review meetings/audits - implementing corrective actions and ensuring adherence to KPIs/SLAs - Representing Purchasing at key internal meetings - Building cross functional collaborative relationships internally and externally - Scoping RFPs with key stakeholders - Reviewing opportunities to implement global contracts with other Envision plants **About You** The successful Buyer will have/be: - Proven strategic procurement track record(i.e. direct or indirect spend) - ideally from within past-faced Manufacturing environment - Previous negotiation experience essential - Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills - confident to challenge both internally and externally - Strong communication skills, adept at building relationships quickly - Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment - Flexible to managing both indirect and direct category procurement - Proactive, assertive, confident decision maker with a hands-on, can do attitude - able to hit the ground running - Diligent, efficient, strong prioritisation skills - able to deliver to deadline For further details of this excellent opportunity please get in contact with an updated CV.
