Principal Solutions Architect for a global insurance firm to be based in London 2-3 days per week.

This is a replacement hire due to an internal promotion, I’m looking for somebody with strong speciality insurance experience to become the go-to Architect within the Insurance Applications domain.

You will be leading a small team and regularly communicating with C-Suite, owning, and shaping the domain area strategy as well as inspiring the business to continue their success through smart IT decisions. The role will require some hands-on work in theform of High-Level Designs and Proof of Concept builds but you should expect this to be around 20-30% of the role.

Key skills and experience required to be successful:

- Strong understanding of Insurance Applications Architecture with specific experience in one or more of the following: underwriting, claims, risk, quote, and bind (pre-bind)
- Experience in Microsoft based technologies (Azure, Windows, SQL etc.)
- Experience managing a small team of architects
- Familiarisation with containers (ideally OpenShift)
- Strong background in Event Driven Architecture
