The management accountant role produces and oversees financial reports that give senior managers insights into the organisation's performance. The role itself is a pivotal position within the company working in the accountancy department and are responsiblefor overseeing general accounting procedures and practices within the business, whilst analysing and preparing financial reports to assist and promote internal profitability and sustainability.

The client we are actively working with are market leaders in their own discipline, operating within the manufacture and production industry partnering with customers to deliver sustainable solutions to the food, consumer, agricultural, logistics and environmentalend-markets.

**Description**

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing accounting entries for other movements in loan notes and ensure reconciliations are kept up to date
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Assisting the Financial Controller with review and analysis of operational costs and margins, providing insight
- Assisting with implementation of appropriate internal controls and procedures and ensure compliance
- Ad hoc duties
- Full end to end Management Accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and post journal entries onto the accounting system
- Oversee the export of trial balances from the system and upload data

**Profile**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles
- An in-depth understanding of analytics
- The ability to work as a part of a team
- The ability to man manage a team
- The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- The attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks or Excel
- CIMA/ACCA studying or qualified
- Sufficient experience in the finance or accountant department
