RSR Police is a market leading recruitment business dedicated to supplying experienced practitioners on a temporary, contractual or permanent basis to the Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, Offender Management and Regulatory Services talent markets.
RSR Police are currently recruiting on behalf of our Staffordshire based client for a Project Manager to define and deliver projects, which will help to secure safe and confident communities.
This is a fixed term contract for 18 months and attracts a salary of £39,183 - £45,873.
**Main Duties**:
- Managing one or more projects simultaneously through the project lifecycle to ensure they are completed on time, on budget and to defined quality standards.
- Gathering the project deliverables, developing a plan for project delivery and completing project documentation (business cases, plans, schedules, risk and issue logs etc.) throughout the project
- Directing, guiding and managing project delivery to ensure that project objectives are delivered to the agreed quality, forecast delivery times and budget targets
- Reporting on project status to the project or programme board, or providing the PMO with appropriate reporting to feed into organisational governance
- Ensure that risks, issues and opportunities are identified, managed, mitigated and escalated as necessary across the life of the project
- Monitoring progress, slippages and forecast delivery dates across the life of the project
- Engaging with the Head of Service, or service lead, to develop benefits realisation plans which will be used following the closure of the project.
- Engaging with the Head of Service, or service lead, to design and manage the transition of the project into business as usual.
- Working with the Project Sponsor or SRO to maintain and deliver a stakeholder management plan which engages, inspires and builds confidence in the project delivery, associated business change and benefit realisation.
- Negotiation for resources to support project, leadership and matrix management of resources to ensure project delivery.
- Working collaboratively across any suppliers involved in the delivery of the project to manage dependencies and impacts on project risk, timeline and budget
- Recognise and manage any dependencies between the project and other projects or business as usual activities.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or APM)
- Degree qualified or extensive Project Management experience
- Experience in the definition, planning, scheduling and running of large-scale projects within a complex environment
- Demonstrable experience project management on a range of projects
- Experience of engaging with senior stakeholders on strategic projects
- Demonstrable experience of working with staff at all levels; comfortable with conducting presentations and running meetings/workshops.

- Experience of working within a Police force is desirable
- APM Change Management qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Own car required
