Due to retirement, a vacancy has arisen for a Medical Receptionist/ Administrator to join our small and friendly team at Nicholl Street Medical Centre.
Previous experience of working in a GP practice will be advantageous, and knowledge of the Vision clinical system and Docman is preferable, but training will be provided. However, like all practices we will be moving over to EMIS in the future.
The successful applicant will confidently multi-task, work well under pressure and maintain our strong team ethos. Daily tasks include front-desk duties to ensure an efficient reception service, telephone queries relating to appointments, prescriptions and test results. Administrative tasks are varied and include the scanning of patient correspondence and read coding.
We are a relatively small practice based in the town centre and provide general medical services for 4,000 patients in the nearby Swansea area. Our team comprises 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 1 Practice Nurse, our reception team and Practice Manager. We are part of the City Cluster and benefit from a Cluster Pharmacist, Paramedic and Mental Health Liaison Nurse who provide valuable services to our patient population.
The post is part-time at 26.25 hours per week 8:15am-1:30pm Monday - Friday. Alongside this is the non-negotiable requirement to cover annual leave within a well-established receptionist holiday rota system, in addition to sickness leave when necessary.
Due to retirement, we will be looking to recruit during December.
