**About the Trust**
George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women’s, children’s, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The hospital opened in 1948. The hub of the Trust is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton and its services cover a large footprint, including north Warwickshire, Southwest Leicestershire, and North Coventry. The Trust also provides a range of community services, delivered across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. These include sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire as well as hosting the Blue-Sky Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
**What you will be responsible for**:
- Run discharge lists using Lorenzo (hospital system)
- Track notes to and from wards/areas/health records
- Take notes / collect notes from wards/areas. (Lewes House is outside of main hospital. They will be provided with a trolley but will need to lift a box 3kg)
- Find backlog around the trust.
- Answer telephone and also dealing with people face to face looking for case notes.
- Booking in follow-up appointments and adding patients to waiting lists
- Supporting the audiology team with any other administrative duties whilst they run clinics.
- Some secretarial support for sending patients standard letters.
**You will learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You will have the following skills/experience**:
- Must be physically fit as lifting and walking involved in the role’
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
- Be able to demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Be able to work solely using initiative, also as part of a team.
- Excellent I.T. skills
- Previous Admin experience
