In 2018 ‘A Healthier Wales’, the Welsh Government’s plan for Health and Social Care set out the need for services to transform so they can meet the challenges of the future and help deliver the best results. Finding new, flexible and smarter ways of providing services that make the very best of the existing resources and deliver the outcomes that matter to people. Embedding the Value Based Health Care (VBHC) approach as part of making Prudent Healthcare philosophy a reality. Soon after, the Value in Health programme was established to help deliver just that.
The Value in Health programme has been working with Health Boards and Trusts to establish a value based approach to healthcare in Wales. Initially working with engaged clinical teams, the programme has made significant improvements to chronic disease, planned care and cancer services across Wales. It now has a whole system approach that is embedding value based healthcare as the way NHS Wales optimises available resources. Using technology to measure what matters most to people, ensuring activity is data-driven and focussed on improving patient outcomes.
The Welsh Value in Health Centre is looking for an experienced Project Support Officer to join their team. The successful applicant will be a key member of the team and will work across a wide range of work packages supporting our Project Managers, Programme Managers, Strategic Head of Communications and Head of the Portfolio Management Office. Duties will include monitoring compliance against data, process and documentation standards, supporting the preparation of standard operating procedures, training and support guides, and engaging with stakeholders on project and service requests.
We are looking to recruit a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual. Working in a dynamic and demanding environment, you will face a variety of competing priorities that will require a flexible and imaginative approach to the service, combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
