**Qualifications**
- GCSE Maths & English at Grade C/Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance (or willing to work towards)

**About You & About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity within Lloyd & Whyte Group to join our fast paced Claims Team based in Taunton as a Claims Adviser - a varied role in which no two days the same You will be our client’s key point of contact, supporting them when they are at their most vulnerable, helping investigate their claims (which could be anything from flood, fire or even medical related) and provide support to them throughout the process. Hence, it goes without saying that you can really help make a difference to our clients within this role.

A keen eye for detail and the ability to investigate thoroughly are necessary for this role. You should also have excellent customer service, as the clients you will be supporting may be going through a really difficult time, and so you will need to be empathetic, but with a positive, proactive attitude.

This is a fantastic role for anyone looking to obtain in depth knowledge and experience of insurance, but would also be a great next step for those already having experienced the industry.

**Working hours**:35 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

**Key Responsibilities**
- Achieve individual targets and key performance indicators as set and agreed.
- Notify new claims to insurers and maintain accurate claims records
- Provide exceptional support and advice to clients ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction
- Identify, assess and understand claims information for particular products
- Assess policy cover and the information required to progress claims
- Maintain a comprehensive diary system to monitor claims progress and ensure all actions carried out are clearly recorded
- Action correspondence quickly to avoid any delay in settlement of a claim
- Deal with repudiated claims and understand why they have been repudiated
- Discuss and understand how to approach complex cases before providing relevant support to clients
- Be proactive and maximise all business opportunities making clients aware of alternative products (generating leads), advising clients of potential gaps in cover and promoting insurance reviews with clients wherever possible
- Maintain and build on existing relationships with insurers and other third parties
- Maintain own technical competence, including a broad knowledge of our products and the policy covers
- Support colleagues from all areas of the business as required
