Description
Little Blossoms offers a new and purpose-built, nursery-style environment in a home setting, together with a garden and allotment.
At Little Blossoms we pride ourselves in the environment that we offer your little ones, we follow the Development Matters Framework just like nurseries and school settings.
Our aim is to provide the children with fun and stimulating activities to help spark their imagination, encourage their curiosity and develop their physical, social, emotional and communication skills. At Little Blossoms children are encouraged to follow their interests and we plan activities around the children's interests. Little Blossoms provides high quality childcare for children aged from birth to 5 years.
They will be expected to work in partnership with parents and carers to prove the best environment for our children.
**Main tasks**: All the tasks associated with the role of an Early Years Practitioner.
Compliance with OFSTED standards, policies and procedures at all times.
Complete daily observation sheets on each of your key-children, informing parents of their child's day at Little Blossoms.
Able to plan for and set up age appropriate activities for the children based on their stage of development and be part of the rota for messy play activities, washing-up and daily visual checks / risk assessments.
Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C or 4+)
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C or 4+)
Training to be provided
Full training provided icluding day release at New College Durham
Things to consider
You will be expected to complete written assignments for each unit, as well as reflective accounts and professional discussions, and be observed in the workplace by an Apprenticeship Skills Coordinator.
Once you have completed the diploma, along with the certificates for maths and English, you will enter Gateway for End Point Assessment (EPA).
