**About the role**

**The successful night shift Mechanic will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable.
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.

**Working pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 21:00 - 05:00 (**4 days on 3 days off**)**

**Hourly pay rate: £20.50 p/hr + a **£2,000 JOINING BONUS**

**About you**
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) and working experience on either PSV, HGV, van, bus, coach, or car mechanics is advantageous.
- Ability to multi-skill within a mechanical engineering environment
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- A PCV licence is desirable, or an ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
- A basic vehicle electrical understanding is essential.
