Bus Mechanic/foreman

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of mechanics to ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in buses, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of replacement parts and supplies.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of bus fleets.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
- Develop and implement training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of the mechanics.
- Manage the budget for the maintenance department, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as operations and engineering, to ensure the efficient operation of bus fleets.
- Provide technical support and guidance to mechanics to ensure the efficient operation of bus fleets.

**Key Requirements**
- City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- 3 years minimum experience is essential
- Commercial vehicle experience - proven work experience on all makes of heavy commercial vehicles including bus and coach
- IT literate
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a PSV/HGV Mechanic
- PSV/HGV Driving Licence, not essential but preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 42.5 per week

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
