**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including processing invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Prepare VAT returns.
- Prepare National Insurance payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage and other relevant platforms for efficient record-keeping.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Assist with weekly / monthly payroll submissions.
- Ideally have an understanding of HR and provide assistance when required.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in an accounting role or similar position is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Office located in Birkenhead.

Pay: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
