The Housing Options Service transferred back to the Council in October, we have just completed a service redesign and we are on our transformation journey towards 'best in class'. This is an exciting time to join the Housing Options Service and we are recruiting to our Business Support and Commissioning Team, where you would be able to make a real difference to the success of our service delivery.

The Finance Officer role is an important role, where you will provide comprehensive technical and financial administrative support to Teams across the Housing Options Service, assisting in developing finance to a ‘value adding tool’ across Housing Options and providing a prompt, accurate and reliable transactional processing service, including invoicing and recharging. You will build relationships with our emergency accommodation suppliers, ensuring that they are paid promptly and in accordance with our financial procedures and rules, and contributing to year end procedures and provision of information for statutory accounts.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
