We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and ambitious individual to join our Design team and gain experience in the showhome and design industry working as a Trainee Designer.

Salary - £20,600 plus bonus

Type - Permanent, Full Time

Working Pattern - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Our dedicated Design department provide design solutions for the private and public sector including house builders, housing associations, commercial organisations and the care industry. From the initial brief right through to the installation, they are relied upon to work with our customers throughout the whole process.

An absolute focus on maximising sales by producing high quality, unique designs to a given budget that will bring in new customers and growing existing ones across all sectors is the objective of this role.

**Key areas of responsibilities include**:
Gaining knowledge and experience of designing with a given brief and budget

Gaining knowledge and experience of producing design boards to a high standard for presentation to clients

Gaining knowledge and experience in assisting installers on showhome installations, ensuring that they are dressed to a high standard

Gaining knowledge and experience in shopping for products efficiently, ensuring that budgets are adhered to

Gaining knowledge and experience in monitoring costs and shopping expenditure

Using Photoshop effectively to provide the highest standard of presentation material

Researching and keeping up to date with current design trends

Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved and that any issues are dealt with promptly

Gaining full knowledge of all manufacturers available by attending all design shows

**Key Requirements**:
Must possess a degree in interior design or equivalent

Will be articulate, possess excellent IT and communication skills and work well under pressure

Be proficient in the use of Photoshop and InDesign

Must have a flare for design and be able to produce high quality on trend designs to a given budget and timescale

Must have a full current UK driving licence

Must be willing to travel throughout the UK with overnight stays as and when required.
