The Traceability Packaging Systems Lead supports the overall Global Traceability Portfolio which has accountability for the delivery of the enterprise capability to enable the tracking of serialised products across AstraZeneca. The Traceability Portfolio sits within AZ’s Product Security function within Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S).

We are looking for someone with a strong background in leading a technology platform at a global level. Experience of doing so for production line technology is most relevant, and knowledge of their impact on downstream business processes is key. Specific experience with serialisation is helpful for this position.

As part of a distributed team, the role will collaborate with global, regional and external partners, to support delivery against the global traceability strategy.

**What you’ll do**:
**Key Responsibilities include**:
Overall Pack line Technology Platform Ownership, including supplier relationship management, maintenance of standards/documentation and governance.

Technology development, ensuring AstraZeneca is aware of external trends and maintaining alignment to internal business initiatives.

Business Process Ownership via encouraging of business process networks, driving standard methodologies/learning and continuous improvement.

Ownership of Pack Security Features, working with packaging technologists to ensure our packs have up to date protective technologies.

Supporting advocacy to ensure external requirements align with AstraZeneca’s internal capabilities and deliver value to patients

**Essential Skills**:

- Validated experience supporting Automation & IT technology, preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep understanding of serialisations legislation and associated business processes.
- Understanding of packaging line process and technology.
- Experience and knowledge of distribution processes preferably associated with material track and trace.
- Proven experience of working globally and collaborating across a diverse range of partners.
- Exhibits leadership skills to make quick critical decisions where required.
**Desirable Skills**:

- Proven understanding of GS1 standards.
- Line management of a team, preferably of engineers.
Experience in working with serialisation at the packing level.
