Academic Lead

Following the growth in student numbers for our applied management courses, the School of Management is seeking to appoint an Academic Lead to oversee the courses and lead the team of staff supporting these courses. The courses have a research focus and include Doctor of Business Administration, Masters in Research in Management and MBA top-ups.
As a member of the School’s Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Head of School/Deputy Heads and other School Leads to provide academic and operational leadership for the Applied Management Subject group having particular regard to the student experience; contributing to the implementation of strategy and policy and supporting the attainment of critical success factors; maintaining the quality of delivery and content of the School's academic business portfolio and facilitating the efficient and effective deployment of resources. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to support the change agenda within the School.
Amongst the key essentials required for this post, you must be able to demonstrate substantial leadership experience within the academic areas pertinent to the School of Management. You must have demonstrable excellent interpersonal skills, communication and influencing skills with an ability to work with external professional bodies and partners. A PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline, honours degree and master’s degree are essential criteria for this role.
