Our client has a very exciting opportunity for a HR People Business Partner, based from home with 1 day a week in the Rochdale office.
Job Overview:

- As a People Partner, you will provide advice to managers & colleagues regarding best practices on a range of people initiatives. You will champion a diverse workforce throughout the employee life cycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughperformance management and cultural development.
Key areas of work:

- Partnering with managers, providing professional people related advice, guidance, and information in line with current legislation and best practice on matters such as absence management, performance, disciplinary, realignments, maternity/paternity, flexibleworking, retirement etc.
- Partner with managers to identify, develop, deliver and evaluate learning interventions and new initiatives for teams and individuals.
- Update, maintain and record information on People related systems and Databases
- Partner with managers on Recruitment and support the onboarding process
- Update Midland I-Trent and other systems
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective internal policies and procedures incorporating relevant legislation and best practice.
- Identify and deliver wellbeing initiatives in line with the people strategy which promotes physical and mental wellbeing at work
- Produce and present reports on HR data
- Good to have: Level 5 qualification in HR/CIPD
Technical Competencies:

- Practical experience of Employee Relations case management on a variety of matters (for example absence management, capability, disciplinary, grievance, maternity/paternity, flexible working, retirement, redeployment), ensuring compliance with current statuteand best practice.
- Ability to develop people policies and procedures in line with best practice, current legislation and an ever-changing environment.
- Ability to manage people projects and reviews.
- Proactive approach to wellbeing
- Experience of stakeholder management with the ability to coach, negotiate and influence, and challenge.
- Experience of managing and supporting the full recruitment cycle.
- Ability to build and maintain strong and effective partnerships with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies
- Microsoft Office 365 skills with the ability to produce documents to a professional and accurate standard
- Experience of working with Trade Unions

- Ability to deal with challenging and emotive situations using influencing and persuasion skills to get the best outcome for the society and individual.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledge and understanding of equality and inclusion issues and how it will impact on colleagues.
- Awareness and empathy of the social issues that might impact upon employees and customers
- Experience of Coaching and training Managers
- Demonstrates personal resilience and emotional intelligence
