**Job Summary**
This post will provide you with a good grounding in administrative work and the use of office procedures and equipment.
There will be opportunities for you to find out about blood collection, the processes we undertake to ensure the blood is safe and the lifesaving products we make from our donations.
Your essential role will directly contribute to saving and improving people’s lives.
**Main duties of the job**
- You will be working as part of a team to ensure that enough donor appointments are booked to collect the required blood groups on a daily basis to ensure patient requirements are met.
You will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the donor centre to ensure the overall provision of a high quality and value for money service.
**About You**
**Experience and Knowledge**
- Experience of maintaining extensive records in both paper and electronic format in a way that allows others to quickly retrieve information.
- Experience of working and complying with standard procedures and confidential information.
- Experience of working in a high paced, customer focussed environment.
- Knowledge of organising and prioritising a busy and varied workload.
**Qualifications and Training**
- Educated to NVQ level 3 in Customer Service, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD).

**What we offer**:
- 20% HCA’s Supplement, minimum payment of £5,414 per annum (pro rata for part time) and a maximum payment of £8,172 per annum (pro rata for part time).
- NHSBT promotes flexible working opportunities where the role will allow.
- 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years’ service and to 33 days after 10 years.
