As part of our ongoing Own Fleet expansion, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Trainee Fleet Co-ordinator/Planner based in Colsterworth, starting immediately.
You may have some Transport/Fleet Planning experience, or..... you may be a recent graduate with a passion for logistics, looking for that first step to get into the sector and willing to learn and develop into a role in our business.
**Following your initial training you will be**:
- Vehicle planning, managing a section of the Openfield Fleet, in conjunction with other fleet team members, to ensure requirements of the transport plan are fully met, including holiday cover for existing planners.
- Utilising the fleet to its maximum capacity at all times and using backhauls as and when necessary.
- Liaising with farmer customers and all relevant internal colleagues to understand their requirements and ultimately enhance the fleet utilisation to its maximum capabilities while achieving the required service levels to customers at both ends of the supply chain.
- Working with the vehicle management team to ensure all servicing arrangements and MOT’s are met and adhered to in accordance with Openfield, TASCC and VOSA instructions while ensuring minimum downtime and utilisation impact
- Ensuring all drivers adhere to and comply with driver’s hours and working time regulations at all times.
- Scheduling transport movements for third party hauliers as required to compliment the fleet plan.
- Ensuring schedules are communicated to drivers in a timely manner. Working to build good relationships with drivers, suppliers and consumers at all times.
- Ensuring accurate and timely communication of loading requirements with farmer and store customers.
**Required Skills and experience**:
- Have great organisational skills
- Be a pro-active individual with excellent communication skills.
- Be able solve problems, working with customers and colleagues alike to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- You will be able to demonstrate a keen work ethic and be looking to work in a fast paced environment.
**Desired experience**:
- Experience in customer service, administration and/or transport teams would be an advantage.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
