**JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Job title**:
Maintenance Technician

**Purpose**:
To maintain our apartments to a high standard of repair to help create a memorable guest experience

**Responsible to**:
Guest Experience Manager

**Location and hours**:
Based in London primarily but must be flexible with requirement to travel outside London on some adhoc occasions

We believe in working flexibly - this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours. This may be ad hoc or permanent flexibility. Working hours are 37.5hrs, 5 days a week.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING;**

**Delivering Guest/ Customer Service**
- To ensure that apartments are maintained to a high standard in time for guest arrival and that standards are maintained during the guests stay at all times

**Day-to-Day Operation**
- Delivering maintenance works in a timely and efficient manner
- Anticipating future maintenance requirement and proactively resolving before the need occurs
- Being on call for maintenance requests, including out of hours on a rota basis
- Ordering supplies and equipment for maintenance
- Supporting the Guest Experience Manager and Assistant Guest Experience Manager in all Health and Safety related duties including managing the company’s health and safety portal
- Supporting with refurbishments
- Carrying out PPM checks
- Be comfortable working at various sites in the working week
- Be comfortable working at times both as part of a team and on your own
- Active participation in team meetings and personal development sessions
- Be comfortable with lone working, particularly on late shifts

**Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications**
- GCSE/NVQ (including English and Maths)
- Basic levels in written and spoken English language
- Customer Service Skills
- Plumbing, Gas and Electrical trade qualifications advantageous
- Proficient with IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office)
- Attention to detail/ Decision Making/ Sales Ability/ Influencing skills and managing expectations/ Problem Solving/ (People Management)/ Flexibility/ Time Management

**Experience**
- Previous maintenance experience in a retail, property or hospitality environment preferred
