Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Glasgow, require an Admissions Administrator on a temporary basis for 2 months. The salary for the position is £12.90 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
**Main purpose of role**:
**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:
- Make basic admissions decisions in accordance with agreed criteria for a defined set of programmes
- Make an assessment of an applicant's fee status according to fee regulations
- Support Admissions Officers with CAS issue to international students
- Ensure UCAS Course Collect is up to date with all course information and entry requirements
- Create student files
- Co-ordinate travel, book training and stationary orders
- Plan and prioritise workload to ensure all deadlines and service level agreements are met
- Some evening and weekend work may be required on occasion
**Key Skills and Requirements**:
- HNC level or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in working with information/customer relationship management systems in a higher education or commercial setting
- Experience of preparation of data reports
- Ability to plan and manage own workload within deadlines, service level agreements and KPIs
- Experience in working in a customer focused, target driven environment
- Good understanding of the different needs of applicants in different markets
- Articulate, with attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate initiative
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly word and excel and basic report writing skills
- Understanding of UCAS operational procedures and regulations
- Working knowledge of admissions processes, including the HE admissions cycle
