**JOB TITLE**: Korean Speaking UK Logistics Manager
**LOCATION**:Chertsey (with time at Wellingborough as required)**
SALARY**:c£70k**
HOURS OF WORK**:37.5 hour week. Some weekend and evening work may be required for emergencies and projects.
**Who you'll be working for**:
A leading Global Logistics Service provider fro a major electronics manufacturer in the UK.
**What you'll be doing each day**:
The key purpose of the role is to provide a wide range of support to the UK operations at a senior level. To be a trusted and responsible deputy to the UK Country Manager and in this capacity lead key projects and deliverables, including being an activepart of new business opportunities.
Operational Execution Support
- Support UK Country Manager as required based on assessment of current priorities, risks and opportunities across UK operations
- Act as 'go to’ point in County Manager absence and determine when to escalate / consult with Country Manager
- Ensure readiness by evaluating risks, plan and implement contingencies to mitigate in conjunction with existing Operations team
- Provide input and challenge to support peak / black Friday and launch event planning activities across B2B and Ecommerce divisions - supporting existing teams
Innovation & Business Development
- Represent the company with external stakeholders for new logistics projects and opportunities
- Explore and identify new business strategies and targets in conjunction with the UK Country Manager
- Provide added insight and thought leadership by working closely with customers and LSPs to identify new emerging technology and market trends
- Provide added insight to the existing Development team with key input into the Continual Improvement agenda
- Analyse overall logistics processes, conduct audits, and recommend improvements, upgrades & discontinuation
Stakeholder Communications
- Support critical communications with RHQ and HQ, both regular and ad-hoc; UK Country Reporting
- Responsible for the cooperation and communication with customer (Sales Subsidiaries Logistics leadership)
- Represent department in internal (HQ/RHQ) and external meetings
- Provide a point of escalation and direct support to UK Country Manager for HQ/RHQ, customer, LSP vendors escalated or complex problems
- Guide teams with newly introduced company processes, policies and provide support to appropriate department heads
- Centralised Korean communication channel between RHQ, HQ and customer
**The Skills/Experience you'll need to succeed**:
- Fluent in Korean and English (written and verbal)
- Experience in UK logistics market
- Experience of senior management and leadership roles
- Previous work with high value or consumer tech
- Ideally experience of working in a Korean or Asian Head Quartered business
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
- Good operational understanding
- Leadership & coaching skills
- Organized and structured to ensure multiple priorities can be effectively managed at any one time
- Good knowledge of the UK logistics landscape / strong network preferable
- Strong team and collaboration skills
- Commercially astute and creative
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
