Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical Disabilities living in the Kilsyth area.

Favourite activities are going to trips to caravan, rugby matches, music events, going for a drive, meeting up with friends and socialising.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, shaving)
- Assisting with medication (4 times a day) via PEG
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks OR PEG feeding is required
- Going out for Walks and assisting with participation in social activities
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair.
- Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
- The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._

**Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.**

**Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.**

**Experience is desired but not essential as training will be provided.**

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for 3 positions.

Guaranteed permanent position of 16 - 35 hours per week, for each Personal Assistant.

**Days and times**:
12-hour waking Night shift required. Days and times will be negotiated at interview.

Weekends and evenings will be required for weekends away also to be discussed at interview.

**Hourly rate**:
£14.00 per hour
